The Japanese branch of Pentax has found that adding colors and color options to its cameras could help sell them. So, here come the newest additions to the list of unconventional SLR cameras:

In the midst of price hikes all around the world, here is Pentax which takes a radically different course and announces price drops on Pentax K20D, Pentax K200D and Pentax K2000/K-m. Decidedly, at least one new model is coming soon!

Pentax got a new idea to sell its entry-level SLR camera, Pentax K2000, to more people. They decided to make it… different. Two special editions are available now. One is mostly white (unusual for sure but not necessarily ugly), the other is co-branded by Swarovski, covered with zillions of cristals from the jewel designer, issued in 150 limited edition and sold $3000.
