What do they want? How do they think about it? Painting colours onto our photo cameras… Worse, painting them without looking at the result…

They are clearly in competition with the surprising white, green or be-jeweled cristal Pentax K2000 “bling-bling” SLR cameras.

Surprisingly, the PMA fair has been the opportunity to announce not only new products, but also the death of some others. The most prominent ones:

1. Leica announces the end of its R-Series manual focus SLR cameras. Probably to be replaced by something else at the same level.
2. Nikon has now discontinued the Nikon D40, after a very long and successful life. No replacement announced yet.
