Daniel Winters: A good photographer uses a good understanding and respect for their equipment to capture the world around them in a unique way. If a photographer doesn’t understand and respect their equipment their photos will lack discipline and structure; On the other hand if a photographer doesn’t have a point of view about the world around them they will end up with technically perfect snap snots, not well crafted images. A good photographer is able to balance these two elements to create beauty and art in things others would view as mundane and pedestrian.
