The specific photo I selected here was taken during sunset at a tidal pool between Strand and Gordon’s Bay (in the Western Cape province of South Africa). According to Konrad:
The artistic tidal pools do not seem to serve any practical purpose, but the geometric patterns do make for interesting photography. I particular liked the snaking “S” shape of the structure in this image.
