- Leaf Aptus II 5
- Mamiya DM22, DM28, DM33, DM56, M18, M22, M31
- Nikon D3s
- Olympus E-P2
- Pentax K-x
- Panasonic FZ38
- Sigma DP1s
- Sony A500
- Sony A550

It also solves an issue in demosaicing of some Raw files on PowerPC Mac.

I have been anxiously awaiting this release, Adobe Camera Raw 5.6, as it includes the plug-in for my new Sony Alpha 850, which I need in order to open RAW files in LightRoom 2.5 and the new Beta version of LR. I downloaded the above and opened the Adobe updater. The installer for Photoshop Camera Raw gives me the Welcome, but under that word says:
Cannot Install Please click the Quit button.
Dang! This is not nice.
Somebody else seen this?
James,
After some investigation, it seems that this is the (ugly) way Adobe software tells that it is not being installed on the right software.
If you check the “system requirements” on the download page, you will be informed that you need to have Adobe Creative Suite 4 or Photoshop CS4. If you have LightRoom 2.5, these conditions are not met.
Actually, LightRoom cannot exploit the ACR plug-in but incudes the technology right inside itself. You will have to wait for the next update of LR (probably when it gets out of beta).
