Calibrate your screen for free

You’d better use a calibration software with an external sensor, but if you don’t have access to such equipment, it is still possible to do a pretty useful calibration of your screen (and what photographer would not want to improve his computer environment in such a way?)

I found two calibration solutions/offers that are easily accessible (and free):

screen_check
Screen Check presents a screen that will support you while you play with the screen settings (brightness and contrast).

calibrize
Calibrize offers you a small software application to download to allow more precise settings (preferably if your graphics card includes color settings).

Just tried Calibrize. The shaded circle thing is quite clever.
