Pentax K-m / K2000

Pentax K-m / K2000 Ups

  • Light but robust
  • Strong set of useful features (spot metering, DRE, 3.5fps)
  • Priced to compete even with some low-/medium-cost bridge cameras
  • Help button is a great idea for new users
  • Powered by AA batteries

Pentax K-m / K2000 Downs

  • AF is not very powerful in low lights and has only 5 zones
  • Continuous shooting is limited to 4-5 images, due to a small buffer
  • Some user modes (Night and concert) are limited to 2MP images
  • A bit noisy (both during AF operation and sensor cleaning)

According to Pentax Japan, this camera is now discontinued.

Nota: Pentax K2000 is the American brand name of the European Pentax K-m.
